Web tool

Key to ProScale is the web tool where the user can collaborate in projects, set up processes with all four ProScale modules, and access substances in the database. Use the guidance document and the data collection template to get started with your ProScale assessments. The web tool version 2.0 was launched in October 2026, and the tool is under continual improvement and growth.

The ProScale 2.0 web tool was launched in October 2026. In this version, three new modules are added and methodological updates to the original ProScale method are included.

The modules that can be selected for assessments are:

• ProScale for Workers (ProScale-W) assessing direct exposure to workers, with possibility to assess End-of-Life exposure,
• ProScale Service Life (ProScale-SL) assessing direct exposure of consumer products,
• ProScale for the Environment (ProScale-E) assessing direct exposure to the environment, and
• ProScale for Indirect Exposure via the environment (ProScale-IE) assessing indirect exposure to humans via the environment.

The ProScale practitioner chooses which modules to include depending on the nature of the assessment. The ProScale 2.0 Methodological guidance and ProScale 2.0 Practical guidance are available as downloadable documents below and in the web tool, as well as a Data collection template that is recommended to use before setting up the processes in the tool.
