A recording of the latest Mistra SafeChem webinar held on March 26, 2026 are now available under Events. In the webinar, industry partners and researchers described:

• How chemical sustainability can be assessed within a Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) context, with a focus on recent developments in the ProScale tool
• and how hazard and exposure data can be integrated into life cycle assessment (LCA).

Tomas Rydberg from IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, presented the ProScale methodology. Peter Saling from BASF, shared how the tool can support sustainability work in practice. The webinar was moderated by Patrik Andersson, Programme Director of Mistra SafeChem.

Mistra SafeChem is a research programme led by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute aiming to enable and promote the expansion of safe, sustainable and green chemistry. The programme brings together leading research organisations and industry partners to develop new methods, tools and processes for sustainable chemical innovation.
